Sniffer Dogs Olympic Instructor (PRACTICAL)

YOU NOW HAVE THE CHANCE TO BECOME A SNIFFER DOGS OLYMPIC INSTRUCTOR! 

This is a 2 day practical course for existing GOLD Scent Detection Instructors. On this course there will be a mixture of practical and theory, you will recieve a copy of the Sniffer Dogs Olympics Instructors book and after this course you will be able to hold your own "Official Sniffer Dog Olympic" events at Bronze, Silver & Gold level. 

SNIFFER DOGS OLYMPICS 

The Sniffer Dogs Olympics is an elite scent detection competition that is going to change the world for dog owners competing in scent dog sports. The Sniffer Dogs Olympics is designed to test the handler and dogs in all the components of Scent Detection Training.

There are 4 main events for the handlers and their dogs to work through and after each event they will be awarded points.

Once all the events are complete the handlers and dog teams will be awarded an overall points score. In the events the handler and dog teams will be tested on their Scent Detection skills, including odour obedience, indication, speed, scent ID, searching and their ability to work together to complete the search challenges. Trying to gain more points than their competitors.

There will be 3 medal winners from each event, Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Instructors running the official Olympic events will submit their scores of all medal winners to the Sniffer Dogs Olympics page after their event.

Over the year the handlers who receive the most medals at each level will be invited to an annual event where they will have the chance to compete to become the “Sniffer Dog of the Year”
